Baby Shower Card

04-14-11_1647[1]

It has been way too long since I’ve made anything or posted. I am very sorry for that. Life has been getting in the way of my creative time. Here is a card I made for a baby shower using the card feature on Stretch Your Imagination cartridge. It is cut at 4inches. I also used the frame feature for the same cut. The flowers are cut from Sweet Treats at 1inch and I used the center cut for the flower also. You can’t tell from the photo but the cardstock for the base of the card is lighter on the inside so the background of the buggy is a lighter pink. This came out soo adorable and looks great on the front of the gift bag.

Wedding card using Winter Woodland

I LOVE this style of card using the tag feature on the Winter Woodland cartridge. This turned out just like I wanted  it to. I cut tags from page 61 at 41/2 in. and cut one more in the pattern paper at 4 1/4 in. The birds were cut at 3in and 3 1/2 in. I wanted them to appear to be flying in sync. I used Stampin up Champagne Mist ink applied with a dauber to accent the wings and then sprayed them with the ink mixed with rubbing alcohol to glimmer them all over. I used a brad to hold it together and stamped the sentiment inside. Hope you like it!

Thanksgiving gift card

Here is a little gift card that I made to attach to bottles of sparkling cider for Thanksgiving gifts. It is also for the Cricut Cardz Challenge.

The challenge was to create a card using a card function with any cartridge. I used the Stretch Your Imagination cartridge. I cut the card at 3 in. and the card frame at 3 in. using the turkey on page 49. I cut a piece of vellum cut at 1 1/2 x 1 3/4 to glue to the back of the turkey. I used two brads and ribbon and the sentiment is from Pinkcricut Simply Everything stamp set I recently got with a gift certificate I won from Sarah! Love her stamps!! I also used Tim Holtz spiced marmalade distress powder on the edge of the card and heat embossed it.

All I had to take the picture with was my balsamic vinegar bottle. Got to go get my cider! Hope you like these. Thanks for following!

Halloween door hanging

I made this haunted house using Mini Monsters. I used fit to page which made the house 10 1/2 inches. I cut the sign at 4 1/4 inches. The ghost is 2 1/2 in. I used chipboard for the backing of house and sign. I also added a boarder to the roofs with Martha Stewart Dippy Goo punch. I attached the two with thin wire. This was such a fun project. Hope it gives you the willies….or just makes you smile! Perfect entry for Made by Momo's Tuesday's Challenge http://madebymomo.blogspot.com/2010/10/tuesday-challenge-15.html

Puppy birthday card

I made this adorable card for a little friend of my son’s. She loves puppies! I love how this shape card turned out. I used the celebrations cartridge cut the shadow twice at 4 1/2, cut the puppy face at 4 1/2 once in the cream and again in black. I cut the ear and eye spot from the black face and used a 3/4 in circle punch for the ear spot.

This is my entry for My Pink Stamper  "Cute" challenge and Cricut Cardz "Anything Goes" Challenge! Hope you like her!!!

Fall tag card

For my 35 followers!!! Big thank you!!! I am blown away that you all find my blog interesting. Here is a new little card for you.

I love making these cards with the Winter Woodland cartridge. I had to try a fall one. After I cut the tree tags out at 4 1/2 I measured the squirrel and tried cutting him at 2 3/4 and again at 3 in. The 2 3/4 worked and gave me a border but  I liked the 3 in. to cover him completely. The basket is cut from doodlecharms at 1 in.Inside view was hard to capture. I just stamped the sentiment.  I Hope you find him as cute as I do!

Tag card

I have been wanting to try this type of card for awhile. Robyn’s Saturday Challenge at My Pink Stamper gave me the chance to go for it. I love how this turned out! I used Winter Woodland and cut the sleigh on page 53 using the tag function. I cut 2 background tags using  shift at 4 1/2 and then the sleigh front at 4 1/2. I glued the sleigh paper to one background piece. After some embellishing I hole punched the tags and used a brad and ribbon to hold them together. Now it just slides open. The inside sentiment is cut at 2 1/2. This was a fun and simple card to put together.

Today I’m sharing pocket cards that were inspired by Dorcas at 4 Crafty Angels. She made these for a couple of blog hops and offers a fantastic video on how they are made. I used Mini Monsters and Designer Calendar for my cut outs, I heat embossed the Boo sentiment, and stickled buttons to pull the card out. Hope you like them.
