Vinyl Everything!

Couldn’t just give my nephew a plain old cd/stereo for his 7th birthday. I had to vinyl it up! I used Life’s a Beach for the scull and All Mixed Up for his name.

2nd recipe for exchange

I really love using the Cricut markers. It was tricky to cut out so many at the same time but I got it.  I was able to use the Quantity feature. Major hint is to not remove the mat after drawing the object. Just hit load paper and insert the blade and then cut. I used the mouse from Animal Kingdom. First “cut” using the marker and regular image. Hit load paper to get to the beginning again then with blade in cut out the image with the blackout feature. Please feel free to ask questions if you have any.

2nd card for exchange

I used my favorite feature on the Cricut again. Center Point! After printing out the sentiment I load the page into the Cricut and position the blade over the center. You may have to work with the sizing a bit. I could have written this a bit different to fill the space more, but am very happy with how it turned out. The sentiment and it’s background are the same cut from Accent Essentials and the houses and Merry Christmas are cut from Jubilee. The white mat is embossed with Cuttlebug folder Script. Card for exchange

This time my group also chose to include some Christmas cards for our exchange. I love this little saying and couldn't help but use it in my first card.The snowflake is cut from Accent Essentials which I think is really my favorite cartridge in my collection. I always go back to it.I used a Stampin Up tiny snowflake stamp with versa mark and embossed it in silver as I did with the sentiment also. I love embossing especially for Christmas cards.

I’m in love with Stickles!!! The red on this apple looked like Dorothy's shoes! Love how this recipe turned out. The apple was cut from Designer’s Calendar. Feel free to use this “food” recipe. So easy and YUMMY!

Tangee, Kricut Krazy asked her blog friends to send her mom some birthday cheer in the form of homemade cards. I was so excited to work on mine that I lost track of time with my details. It’s gonna be a little late. Hope she likes it!

ink debossing with the cuttlebug

WOW! I have 23 followers! That blows me away. I just love this world of scrapbookers/cardmakers sharing ideas and the love of paper crafting! I hope I keep you all interested.

For today I’ve been dying to try embossing with ink on the cuttlebug. After watching a video from Jen, purplescrapbooker.com I was brave enough to try it. Please report back if you give it a try too. My Pink Stamper Winter Challenge

 

I made this fun little guy from the Stretch You Imagination cartridge. The sentiment is just one I made up since sadly I have no fun stamp sets to work with. Gonna have to correct that soon. This is for the My Pink Stamper challenge by Robyn. Hope you like him as much as I do.

Non traditional wedding card

I made this card yesterday for a couple that have waited 14 years and 3 children to get married. Guess they just wanted to “BE” sure. I had to use the bee paper I had. I wanted to do something non traditional and really love the way this turned out. Card is 4 1/2 x 6. Opens tall. Flowers and square tag are from Celebrations cartridge and sentiment is from Heritage cartridge. I cut the word united twice and cut one up to get the in word. Inside sentiment was found on the internet, forgot the website already, and printed from the computer. The square tag is from page 122 and cuts with corner holes where I added the brads. 2 5 7 10 box with cutout and saying from Country Life Cartridge

I love these little boxes but thought it would be cuter with a window. Here is a great tutorial on cutting the box out. http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/2_5_7_10_box/ Once I had the shape of the box cut out, I marked the spot for the window on the scored rectangle that will be the front of the box. Be sure to allow enough room for the flap to fold over. Next, adhere the flat paper to the Cricut mat. Be sure to check which way the shape you want will cut. Bring the blade to the mark made on the front of box. Hit Center Point button. This is where the center of your shape will be. I used the strawberry on pg. 56 cut at 2 inches. Cut shape. Unload paper, remove from mat, and turn over. Use a piece of clear cellophane and adhere over cutout. I used a piece from a cellophane gift bag I cut for a different project. Fold all scored pieces and glue following directions from Splitcoast Stampers. Decorate as you like. I found strawberry candies to fill the box, cut the sentiment from pg. 56 at 1”, glittered it, glued it to a 1 x 2 3/4 piece of brown cs which I ran through the distressed stripes Cuttlebug folder. attached two pink brads, pop dot attached it to the box. I finished by stamping the U R over the strawberry. Hope you like it! I can’t wait to give it away as a cute little gift!
