Homage to Momo

My version of the card Momo made for back to school blog hop. I know many little people going back to school and starting for the first time that I want to send a little message to. Thanks Momo!

Me in vintage

Entry for Paper Playtime Challenge #10 Miss You http://paperplaytime.blogspot.com/
I love doing vintage type scrapbook pages. This is a picture of me when I was 2, around 1975. I used the Heritage Cartridge for all my cut outs. It is a wonderful cart for doing projects like this. The background paper is Paper Pizazz Chocolate pack. I inked all the sides of the pink with a brown marker to give it dimension without distressing it. It really gave it a sharp look. This is one of my favorite techniques. I also used the cricut pens to outline the scroll work before cutting and then used the brown marker to ink the sides since it was white core cardstock. Hope you like it as much as I do.

5x7 photo album

Got a great photo album at WalMart yesterday that I'm having fun with. I holds 5x7 photos and was $5. I am scrapping 4x6 photos on 5x7 pages to fit. Super fun. My boys have a fun day for the end of school and I eneded up taking  almost a 100 pictures! This is the pefect way for me to get them in an ablum right away. I think I'll cut a bunch of 5x7 mats and let the boys do some too. I'll post a picture soon.

Birthday cupcake cards

Some cupcake birthday cards I made. I really like the way these came out. Cupcakes are soo big right now. I know the black one is hard to see. I couldn’t get it to stand up. I used a piece of the pink cardstock inside to have somewhere to write.

Something fun

100_1815

100_1814

Two cards I made with added fun. First I drew the image with the quickuts sketch pens, Then cut out the blackout image. I then shaded with ink. The words are printed on the computer and then cut out on the Cricut using the Center Point function. This is my new favorite thing to do since I can never find stamps that say what I want and hate my own handwriting.

Kool Aid Slider

Got this great idea from Robyn @ mypinkstamper.com. She shows how to make cocoa, cider, & seed packet sliders. Love Robyn’s site so much!

Little give out for ladies I visit to Stay “Kool” this summer.

Summer word is from Designer Calendar cart.

Recipe exchange cards

Something fun I enjoy doing is a recipe card exchange with friends. Here is an example of cards I’ve made. We use a 4x6 layout and whatever recipe we want. We have 5 ladies in the exchange so we make 5 of each card. I make 6 and am starting a gift for my cousin’s birthday.

Doubly Embossed Birthday Card

For this card I embossed the paper in the Cuttlebug, inked with dauber over it,

Versa Marked and powder embossed, and used Celebrations cart.

It’s super cute in person. Can’t wait to send it off!
